AMAZONIA ONE OF THE NEW SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD

The Amazon rainforest, also known as Amazonia, has been chosen as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in a poll conducted by the New 7 Wonders Foundation. The Amazon forest is developed around the Amazon River and its river basin. The high temperatures of this lungs of the planet helps the development of exuberant biodiversity. The Amazon River is the most voluminous river on earth.

This tropical forest stretching across eight countries in South America, taking as much territory in Peru and Brazil.

With this distinction, Peru already has two World Wonders, Machu Picchu is already a wonder of the modern world since 2007.
